Islington Mill is a grade 2 listed building built in 1823 as a cotton-spinning mill. It is unique in being one of the earliest examples of fireproof construction, utilising the new developments in cast Iron construction allowed the building to be built entirely of brick. Over 33 iron columns supporting brick vaulted ceilings with Quarry tiles hold up the floors
